Premium treatment starts with premium diagnosis

The performance of the combination of standard Haigis formula with Cassini EKR was comparable to other no-history formulas in eyes with previous myopic excimer laser surgery.

Many of the members of the forum Soloeyedocs are aware of my use of the Cassini topography system and my strong belief that it is a very helpful device for the evaluation of cataract patients. I also find that it blends very nicely with the Haag Streit Lenstar device as they both offer highly repeatable keratometry values.

The use of a novel surgical guidance solution with an ocular registration-guided graphic overlay for toric IOL alignment significantly improved operation room time efficiency saving on average of 5 minutes and 37 seconds per case.

The surgical microscope that incorporates ocular registration-guided graphical overlay for toric IOL alignment during cataract surgery is an accurate method for aligning toric IOLs.

This study indicated that there was less postoperative refractive astigmatism using femto second laser corneal marks with iris registration from the Cassini Ambient topographer than intraoperative aberrometry.

Astigmatic arcuate incisions for low cylinder using the Catalys femtosecond laser, the Donnenfeld nomogram, and automating the registration of the axis and the magnitude of the cylinder from the Cassini Ambient topographer resulted in a significant reduction in objective and refractive astigmatism contributing to an improvement in UCVA.

Both devices offer a very reliable way of obtaining keratometry values for cataract and refractive lens surgery. Keratometry values can be interchanged and used for calculations. Benefits of Cassini over IOL Master 700 is the ability to present topography data beyond the central 4-5 mm area.

Retrospective study where Cassini Outperforms Nomogram and Calculation Based Estimates of Posterior Corneal Astigmatism.

Nomogram adjustment methods may suffer from inaccuracies by not taking into account or by assuming a fixed location of the steep meridian of the posterior corneal astigmatism. Directly measuring posterior corneal astigmatism with Cassini Total Corneal Astigmatism (TCA) can provide superior results as compared with nomogram adjustment methods.
