Cassini announces market launch of joint collaboration with Johnson & Johnson Vision
A collaboration agreement between Cassini Technologies and Johnson & Johnson Vision, entailing both joint product development and marketing activities, has resulted in seamless compatibility between the CATALYS Precision Laser System from Johnson & Johnson Vision and the evolved and all-new Cassini Ambient for data exchange and automatic cyclo-rotation compensation.
Cassini selected as Favorite Surgical Pearl of 2013
Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today selected Cassini as one of the favourite surgical pearls in 2013. Jonathan D. Solomon, MD (Surgical/Refractive Director of Solomon Eye Associates in Bowie, Maryland) explains in the article how the addition of the TrueGuide cataract surgical guidance software integration with Cassini colour LED technology to his practice was game changing.
Dr. Solomon says “The integration made a significant change in the workflow and data input used by TrueGuide software algorithms to create precise guidance overlays. The overlays now incorporate more data specific to my surgical preferences and increase the amount of data specific to each cataract case.”
He goes on to say: “I find that the K reading obtained with the Cassini device are highly accurate and provide greater consistency than other methods of measuring K, particularly for determining the intended axis of astigmatism. The device obtains instantaneous front surface corneal shape data with the smallest central scotoma”.
Jonathan D. Soloman, MD is one of the Cassini Founders and presented his initial data during the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) meeting in New Orleans: “I was pleased with the initial outcomes and look forward to further refining my data input into the guidance software”.
